Free time is just a myth

I have no free time it seems. I’m so busy between work and school that it just seems it’s hard to just slow down and relax. Even when I manage to get home with some free time left over, something comes up that needs worked on. Like last night, I got out of my class [...]

Our new ride

Miss T and I decided to do a car shuffle over the weekend. So we ran to Davis yesterday afternoon to “just look at cars”. Well it we ended up driving off the lot in a brand new Honda Pilot.

After driving to Costco and Ikea behind the wheel I now feel very family oriented. All [...]

Forget what you were taught

It seems some astronomers got together and decided to remove Pluto’s title as a planet.
I think it’s a little sad that over the last 70+ years we have been taught we have 9 planets in the solar system and now someone decided to argue that it’s a dwarf planet. That would be like arguing that [...]

Bringing it all together

Well we now have our photographer for the wedding. It’s really starting to come together. It will be nice once we have everything out of the way. The photographer is really nice and his work is really nice. We are debating on taking engagement pictures in SF. We’ll decide on that in the coming months. [...]

Presiding over us

Well we officially booked our officiant for the wedding. He’s a Superior Court Judge who does weddings on the side to balance the bad cases he presides over with something good like our wedding. When we met with him on Sunday he had a box full of cards and pictures of couples he has married. [...]

Pausing life for a moment

I wish I could pause life and just enjoy the moment. But by the time I tried to savor the feeling of goodness within me the moment has passed and I’m back to my 8-5 M-F job. Weekends are a tease for retirement I think.
Anyways, the weekend as you can guess, went by totally fast. [...]

Life Update

OK I think I’ve babbled on about political crap a little too much. So today’s post is just personal junk.
I have to start by saying I bought a new DVD burner for my system at home. It has the new Lightscribe ability. The ability to inscribe without dealing with damn labels and printers is awesome! Miss [...]

As if they were reading my mind

It seems someone at least is asking BP why.
As BP shuts down its corroding pipelines in Alaska’s North Slope, some analysts are wondering why the problem wasn’t caught sooner and say that the company’s problems foreshadow a larger mess with the world’s aging oil infrastructure.
Yeah specially since they had an oil spill earlier this year. [...]

Who could ask for more?

With all my ranting I need to get away and relax. Well turns out I may just do that. My brother B has invited me on their annually trip to Mt. Shasta for a golf filled weekend. I’m really looking forward to this although I’m sure it will be a slightly costly trip. But I [...]

Paying for other’s mistakes

How much more can we take of their crap?
In a blow to drivers already struggling with high gasoline prices, BP was forced to shut about 8 percent of the nation’s domestic oil production after discovering “unexpectedly severe corrosion” in its pipelines in Alaska.
Hi, do you know me? I’m British Petroleum and I make billions every [...]
