Paying for other’s mistakes

How much more can we take of their crap?

In a blow to drivers already struggling with high gasoline prices, BP was forced to shut about 8 percent of the nation’s domestic oil production after discovering “unexpectedly severe corrosion” in its pipelines in Alaska.

Hi, do you know me? I’m British Petroleum and I make billions every year off your money you pay for gas. I save big bucks by never checking my pipelines at the biggest oil refinery in the US. But now that I have a small leak, I’m forced to shut down my refinery. Boohooo, I now have to raise my prices even more. Please open your wallets because I need to raise my costs and take even more of your money.

Is anyone else sick of the fact that every-time the oil companies screw up the consumer ends up eating the cost. Whats sad is the big oil companies have us right where they want us and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. I’d love to be able to ride a bike to work and save the money but I can’t. I live over 30 miles from my job and there just isn’t an easy way. I rely on my car and now I’ll be spending even more money. It just sucks! How much longer can America and the world for that matter, let the oil companies make us pay for their problems? How long before we can have some sort of alternative to gas so we can stand up and say f you oil!?!?

  1. You know, you said you are a Republican, but I don’t know if I believe you. Voting yay or nay on Prop 87?

  2. Hey I can be a Republican with a more liberal view. :P
I’d have to say yay on Prop 87. I can understand why no but I think California benefits more from taxing the companies like they do in Alaska.
