So I had a meeting with my bosses boss last Friday. Nothing scary, just informal “How you doing meeting”. What was coincidental was that a highly visible problem was ongoing that I was handling at the same time. So the meeting turned into a high praise for the work I had been doing recently including this issue. It had me going into a very good mood for the weekend which in turn extended into this morning. I’ve taken a lot on in the last few months which I hope shows just how much I am willing to do/learn to move up. So when April rolls around and my review is handed to me. I can only hope (or assume?) that it will be great. If it is not up to my expectations, I might have to look elsewhere. I just can’t take doing so much work of an engineer and not get the position. I want to be positive but it is tough when this company has let me down in the past. The last two years have been totally worth it but will it continue into a third?
